Privacy Policy

Splitz · Last updated September 24, 2026

Splitz helps friends split expenses and bills. This policy covers the Splitz iOS app and the website at splitz-it.app. Splitz is built and run by an independent developer. It has no ads, doesn't sell your data and doesn't track you across other apps or websites.

What we collect

Receipt photos are read on your device. The photo itself is never uploaded; only the line items you confirm are saved to the bill.

How it's used

Only to run Splitz: to sign you in, show you and your groups who owes whom, and notify you about activity. We don't use your data for advertising or profiling.

Who can see it

We don't sell or share your personal data with anyone else, except where the law requires it.

Deleting your account

In the iOS app, go to Profile → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your sign-in, profile, notifications and the bills you created.

Expenses in shared groups also belong to the other members, so they aren't erased: your side of each one is kept under your display name so everyone's balances stay correct, but it's no longer linked to any account. On bills other people created, you stay listed by name as a guest for the same reason.

If you can't use the app, email us from the address on your account and we'll delete it for you.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account exists. Deleting it removes your data from our systems right away, apart from the shared group and bill records described above.

Children

Splitz isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
